Unlock Your Career Potential with NAIP’s Apprenticeship Program in Insurance
A Path to Success
For many job seekers, entering the workforce successfully can be a daunting challenge. As far back as 2006, Connecticut’s Insurance and Financial Services (IFS) businesses raised concerns about the future growth of the industry, recognizing the critical need for skilled and readily available knowledge workers.
NAIP: Bridging the Gap
In response to these concerns, NAIP has developed a dynamic Apprenticeship Program in Insurance. Our program offers invaluable industry exposure, comprehensive preparation for professional licensure, and the workplace competencies essential to kickstart a rewarding career in the insurance and financial services sector.
Program Highlights
Our program begins with an orientation period aimed at painting the big picture of the insurance industry. Participants will:
- Gain a solid understanding of basic insurance concepts.
- Explore a wide range of career opportunities and entrepreneurial paths within the insurance and financial services industry.
- Undergo career assessments to identify the career path that aligns with their short and long-term goals.
Learn and Thrive
Whether working and training from home or in person, participants will acquire essential skills such as:
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Discussing various types of insurance policies.
- Addressing client inquiries.
- Preparing quotes for auto, home, life, health, and business insurance.
- Completing various applications.
- Finalizing sales transactions.
While customer service responsibilities may vary across sectors, the transferable skills acquired during this Apprenticeship program will serve participants well in virtually any industry.
